Details on character creation can be found here: wws_system_2005.pdf Our system has been inspired by a range of roleplaying sources including Deadlands and a lot of it was squeezed out of Mike(y)'s brain and experience. We have created what we think is a pretty streamlined and simple way of doing things that means that stats and mechanics assist in the story telling, they don't get in the way.

• Chief Brack — A Warleader of the Martians during the Martian War of Independence.
• King George V — King George V is the ruler of the British Empire, since XXXX.
• President Charles Kennedy Jnr — President of North America from XXXX to XXXX.
• President Davies — President from XXXX to XXXX.

NPCs

• Colonel Longbeach — Colonel Longbeach is a private citizen who is publicly and outspokenly concerned with the public good. He is also a Mayoral Candidate (for the 4th election running).
• Governor Devlin — The Governor of the American Territories on Mars.
• Marshal Teague — Emmet has been the Marshal for the American Territories since the War. He is rarely seen about Barsoom City as a man with that much grit spends his whole life on the road.
• Mr Samson — The ex-Mayor of Barsoom City, who resigned recently - citing only "personal reasons".

PCs

• AJ — Mrs Aurora-Lee Jane Calhoun, aka AJ is played by Nadina Geary. AJ is the young sexy, snazzy and determined manager of one of the naughtiest places in twelve counties, Lucy's Bathhouse.
• Alfred Deacon — Alfred Deacon is played by James "Fish" Walker. Alfred was born in Portston and is currently the Master Undertaker of [City Undertakers]. He is a gentle caring sort - always giving appropriate to grieving friends and relatives. Despite his good "bedside manner" the creepy undertaker stereotype has stuck.
• Allison Astermo — Dr Allison Astermo is played by Michelle Bhaal. Dr Astermo is a doctor and a surgeon who is in her late 20s. She does ongoing charity work for the poor and with the orphanage. Dr Astermo has been living in Barsoom City for the last 5 or so years and she takes her work quite seriously, working long hours both at her clinic in the [Schools District] but also out of her own home.
• Amelia Fortesque — Amelia Fortesque is played by Kai'. Amelia is the lovely young widow of the fabulously wealthy owner of First Bank Richard Fortesque. Mrs Fortesque is standing for Mayoral election.
• Beau de la Croix — Beau Montgomery de la Croix is played by Eric Henry. A new arrival on Mars, he's a well off a handsom', charmin' and civilised lookin' gentleman from the South. He's put his hat in the ring for Mayor.
• Brigadier General Saint-John — Brigadier General Gerald Saint-John is played by Robbie Matthews. Commander of Barsoom Brigade, expatriate British soldier, who signed up with the American military during the Martian War of Independence. A pleasant enough seeming fellow, although since the end of the war he has been prone to bouts of vagueness.
• Charlie Meyer — Charlie Meyer is played by Tomasz Ciolek. Don't go adventuring without him. An Afrikaaner by birth he knows where to find the big game and how to keep the native guides in line.
• Craig — Craig is played by Don Bloomfield. Craig is the Martian assistant to Central Park's Chief Botanist, and he has worked there for a number of years.
• Desert Rose — Desert Rose is played by Liz Waldoc. A youthful, pale greenskin who works at the university library. She has some reputation as an excellent translator of Martian languages and occasionally assists Archaeologists with their studies, providing a native perspective.
• Donatello Scallopini — Donatello Scallopini is played by Mark Ashcroft. Donatello "Don" Scallopini is a small businessman, and a pillar of the community, who is active in both the New Sicily and the broader Barsoom City communities, sponsoring social events and is something of a philanthropist.
• Esteban — Esteban is played by Tim Meyen. This Mexican cowpoke is the the fastest scissors in the West, just ask him. He doesn't have a barber shop per se but he will come to you and give you a fabulous grooming.
• Flora Prescott — Flora Prescott is played by Eleanor Goodwin. Flora is the eccentric chief botanist for Central Park, part time lecturer at BCU and widely known as a "green thumb".
• Franklin Overstreet — Franklin Overstreet is played by Paul Sweeney. Franklin has recently arrived on Mars to take on a job with A.P. & Co, a straight up guy with a solid reputation.
• Grace Mayflower — Grace Mayflower is played by Marissa Harris. Grace is the Mars District Attorney and she has been for a few years. She is the eldest daughter of the famously wealthy Mayflower family.
• Hans — Hans is played by Ryan d'Argeavel. Hans is a German Gunslinger. He's mean as a rattler and twice as ugly and he'll shoot you as soon as speak to you... unless his gunbelt falls down again - but that only happened the once.
• J. Ashcroft Chalmers — J. Ashcroft Chalmers is played by Andrew Smith. Mr Chalmers is an earnest bachelor and a bookish type. He is creeping into his middle years and does not seem perturbed about his ongoing status as bachelor.
• Jack Valente — Jack Valente is played by Antti Roppola. Jack is a rancher, who periodically comes to Barsoom City to spend his earnings during the quiet times on his ranch.
• John Welles — John Alan Welles is played by Mike Walker. John is a quiet, gentle and dedicated man interested in the sciences and was, until recently, studying engineering at BCU.
• Sir Aubry — His Excellency Sir Aubry is played by Paul Naveau. His Excellency Sir Commander Aubry Saint-John Homepoppin, OBE, RN Retired is the British Consul to Barsoom City.

Deceased Persons

• Annabelle Williams (Sandra d'Argeavel) - A beautiful young lady teacher who was tragically murdered on her first day on Mars.
