Oretago

Oretago was built in XXXX on the shores of Lake Menna in an place that was a convenient transit point between Bastion and Barsoom City. Not long after it was built, a large ore lode was found and now almost all of the non-precious minerals are produced in Oretago. It is now a bustling cosmopolitan city and due to its proximity to the Open Territories, a variety of unusual people can be found on its streets - the adventurer types - people who willingly spend most of their time in the lawless Open Territories. These adventurers tend to have a roguish bent to them, they sell tall tales, trinkets and other things of dubious value and authenticity.

Oretago also has a large fur trade with both the Humans in the Open Territories as well as the Martians, who appreciate the Oretago open-mindedness and give them preferential trade in return.
