The Rule of Man
The Rule of Man was what the [Solomani] called their empire after their defeat of the [Vilani]. This empire was also known as the Second Imperium, or less flatteringly as the Ramshackle Empire.
The [Solomani] were not equipped to administer an empire of 15,000 worlds and the empire's collapse was almost inevitable.
After the collapse, began the Long Night where many systems lost contact with their neigbours and lots of technology was lost - some systems even reverted to primitive tool use.
The chaos of the Long Night was given the [Solomani] a bad reputation amongst the pure [Vilani] but these days hardly anybody can claim to be completely free of [Solomani] blood.
